The application provides a seamless shopping experience with product catalog management, dynamic shopping cart functionality, user account systems, and an integrated WhatsApp checkout flow for direct customer communication and order processing. The platform demonstrates full-stack development with a Django backend using PostgreSQL for data persistence and HTMX for dynamic, server-rendered interactions. Key technical implementations include a sophisticated shopping cart system with real-time count updates, product search and filtering capabilities, user authentication and account management, wishlist functionality, customer review systems, and order tracking. A significant technical challenge overcome was implementing accurate cart count synchronization across different user sessions and page interactions, ensuring the cart state remained consistent throughout the browsing experience. The application features a unique checkout workflow that redirects customers to WhatsApp for personalized order completion, enabling direct communication between the business owner and customers. This approach combines the convenience of online shopping with the personal touch of direct messaging, making it ideal for small to medium-sized beauty retailers who want to maintain close customer relationships while offering digital storefront capabilities.
